Blood Collection Protocol

Go to your local physician or phlebotomist and request the collection of one gray top (sodium fluoride) and one royal blue (heparin) tube.

Place the specimen in a sealed biohazard bag.

Place the sealed specimen along with the Requisition for Testing in small box which will protect the tubes from crushing and send to ExperTox laboratory in Airborne Express or other overnight courier transport container.

Note: It is not necessary to place the specimen on ice if being sent overnight
